I am sitting at the computer on a Thursday morning waiting to head back into the studio today. We are recording the commercial spot for DCBA (Tourism). I am thrilled they decided to use my song and voice again. I can not rave enough about how wonderful the ladies at DCBA have been to me. It will air on August 28 and run for about 2 months so check it out on CTV and ASN! We taped the footage last year in Bras d'Or (my hometown)... I am heading to Halifax this weekend to begin the taping for the VISION Christmas Show. It has been a busy summer to say the least. I am playing in Baddeck this evening at a songwriter's circle at the Masonic Hall. I love these events... I always find it interesting knowing the stories behind songs so hopefully we will have a good turnout. I will be joined by Michelle Stephens and Jason MacDonald so come on out if you are in the area. I have to add to that on the weekend I played at the Beausoleil Festival and Mersey House in Liverpool. The promoters were so kind and welcoming at both venues. It is lovely to see people who simply enjoy music and want to help singer/songwriters and musicians like myself get their music heard. At the Mersey, the Station Manager from CKBW came to the show and it was so great to meet him. I always thank Local radio for supporting me in my shows but it so much nicer to meet them and thank them in person. Just got word that I will be showcasing at the Halifax Pop Explosion and the Toronto Music Expo... Life is good...Well... time to go change my guitar strings. Talk soon... xoSteph
